Default Tranny fluid

I've had it, i just replaced 3 seals in the tranny a month ago, less then 1000 miles goes by and the pressure sensors decides to take a dump again. i'm done, im ordering the borg warner set. Think itll be ok to pour the tranny fluid back in if its only got a few hundred miles on it, i dont wanna spend another 50 bucks on fluid.

If it's not burnt or contain metal fragments/particles, don't see why not.

My opinion if your buying the kit and spending the money what's another 50$ just to make sure and avoid any problems. U can save the old fluid incase u need a top off but I'd rather be on the safe side. Why risk it over 50$

I've re-use in the past, and if you absolutely have to you should should strain it through fine screens, I used paint strainers.

I'm 7 years late to this post, but what do you think about using a magnet to get any small metal particles removed?

If you think there's metallic pieces in the fluid, steel or aluminum, don't use it. Figure out where the metallic pieces are coming from.

I had to make an account just to comment on this one. Anything that has oil will have metal in it at some point. Normally at break in. That ls why you have a magnetic plug. Telling someone to figure out why they have metal is misleading. Obviously you have never changed a fluid of your own or touched a wrench.
