Default copper crush washers

I just finished replacing the rotors, pads and calipers on my 96 1500. I found 3 crush washers on the drivers side brake line. 1 fell off the other 2 on each side of the line are stuck on there. I can see a couple of score marks on them. I put it back together with just those 2 old ones and it leaks like crazy with no pressure. I added 2 new ones (1 on each side now there are four total). Is it okay to have four? Are there tips to getting the old ones off? I realize replacing the brake line is one option.

Thanks for answering!

I use a screw driver to pry them off. Or sometimes u can use some PB blaster and let it soak for a while and they'll come off. Or a wire wheel and try to catch the side. I usually only put 1 washer on caliper side of the nut. I don't put 1 on the top of the nut cause it always leaks for me.

Should be one on each side. Use new ones. The old ones can be pried off with a screwdriver, or pick.

Sometimes the new ones aren't thick enough - find thicker ones. Don't double-stack them.
