Default Seat Swap

I have a 2001 2500. The seats were trashed. I bought a set from a salvage yard. I figured all of the years were the same. They aren't!

The wiring harness for my old seats only has a 2 wire plug. The wires are light green/red and Black/light green.

The new seats have an 8 wire harness. Blue, tan, pink, black/light green, black/pink, tan/red, light green/red, light green/black.

My question is, which wires do I need to hook up with these salvage yard seats so that the seat belts work? Right now they are locked. The new seats are not power seats. Just the standard seats. Not sure what all of those wires are for?

If the belts are locked, they may need replacing. Was the vehicle that you pulled them from in an accident?

Honestly, I can't remember. I bought them in January. I'm just getting around to putting the interior back together after replacing the driver side floor.

May just be the difference between power, and non-power seats too.....

You can get the 01 service manual from here. Check the wiring diagrams for the seat belts, and see which wires you need to address.
