Default Bad wind noise around passenger window?

Hey everybody first post,

Bought my new truck a month ago and absolutley love it! It's a 1995 dodge ram 1500 club cab long bed. One thing that really bugs me though is at speed above 40mph there is a bad wind noise that comes from the passenger side of the truck but not the driver's side. My truck has ventshades over the headlights and a bug shield on the front and ventshades over the windows. I wondered if this was the cause but i thought they cut down on the wind noise. They are both secured on well and don't move. I'm wondering if the mirror is the cause. The sound is like if your on the highway and have the window down an inch. Just wondering if anybody else had this problem and fixed it or if ya can help me out. Also the window is tight with no leaks, did a check with a fogger.

mine does the same thing, and its the weather stripping. 35 dollars to replacements.

Where did you get the weatherstripping? I'm in Norman but am unaware of any shopin in OKC that cater to anything but spinners and thumpy-thump bull****.

Ventshades on the windows and the bug shields up front can cause the wind noise. It doesn't matter if they are loose or not not. The deflection of the air can cause the noise. There was a TSB on it back in the mid 90s. The earlier mirrors were also a cause of wind noise. There's a TSB for those as well.

Door or window weatherstripping can cause it, but only if it's bad/worn.

Cool. My windows rattle when partiall lowered, which I attribute to worn weather stripping.

I fought this problem on my 1995 Club Cab Ram for some time,
changing out to new weatherstrips on the passenger side,
then aftermarket weatherstrips,
then fiddling with the rear vent window,
to try to unsuccessfully get rid of the 'wind leak' noise on that side.

In the end I found that the noise was actually coming from the ventilation system.
Before changing out the weatherstrips,
trying moving your vent **** to different positions
to make sure the noise is not coming in there.
