He's looking to upgrade his light output not downgrade. There are no quality halos for these trucks unless you get a professional retrofit

some new houseing opens up your options alot. I'd love to go HIDs . Maby in the furture but for now a decent set of plug and play in my opinion seems more practical. There's other performance stuff if rather do first before a 200$ set of headlights . It all depends on how much night driving you do I guess. . Those LEDs are direct fits right? And I have a set of silver stars in my honda Accord going in 3 years now no issues or burn outs. I always wear rubber surgical gloves when dealing with headlight bulbs

I just ordered a set of these

they look to be the exact same set up as the superbright LEDs and have a 3 year warranty

figured it was worth a shot as the LEDs I run in my Harley made all the difference in the world when riding at night

Let us know how you like them. Pics of one in compared to the conventional bulb would be awesome! Like to see comparisons side by side.

as you can see in the photos, LED is whiter light.. and as others have stated VERY LITTLE difference between high and low beam with LED only noticeable difference is high beam throws more light out to side... another thing that I experienced with these same as on my Harley when I installed the LEDs is they need to be adjusted up
a little, from what I have read online its due to set up of the LED bulbs themselves.. some need adjusting up and others may need adjusting down... these definitely need to go up a hair which I all probably do this weekend on my friends garage door as he has the adjustment marks lined out on his door

Honestly, those look like someone driving with high beams on all the time (hence the little difference). Aiming them higher will blind oncoming traffic even more. Don't be surprised if you get tickets. Try having someone drive your truck at you so you can see how it looks to others.

Honestly they don't light up the distance quite like the silverstar low beams did, while whiter light not quite as far out hence the checking I will do at my friends house... as I stated above he has the state legal markings on his door ( when they actually used to inspect headlight aim ) where low beam should be and that's where I will set them
