Default 360 to 414 stroker questions on ecm

Hey I have a 95 5.9 2500 with auto trans. I found a stroker kit and I have no clue as what to do with the obd1 ecm. I found a place that I can send one in to have it reflashed. But do I need to go that far? Was going to pick up an engine from the junk yard and making it a project. If I have to have the ecm reflashed I might as well go all the way and do my camshaft. Also where the heck can I get better fuel injectors

Wow you're asking some pretty hard questions. Since you have OBD1 life is going to be a lot harder on you. I don't know where you can get your ecm flashed for a stroker engine. You asked do you have to have the ecm flashed? Yes you do. Now as for your cam shaft, you bet you have to change it. Doing a stroker and then choking the engine by running the stock cam would just be crazy. You're going to want to rebuild your engine or a jy engine. You will most likely have bad heads and need to replace them. As far as injectors go do a search online and you will find tons of companies that sell larger injectors.
Are you sure it is a 414ci stroker? Most are 406 or 408ci kits. I'm building a 408 out of my 5.9 and there is a link to my build in my sig.

I was thinking about this and I think the easy way for you with OBD1 is to go with a stand alone ecm like Mega Squirt. That would be your best bet and would make it easier to tune also.

I'm sure the place you found to reflash the PCM is B&G Chrysler, which no longer reflashes our obd1 computers. They need to update their website.

Ok so then my only option is a stand alone. Mega squirt has some good stuff from what I hear. But what should I do about the auto trans? Convert to manual? I don't know much about my trans, I want to say it's an electronic shifter but I'm not sure

Mega squirt has add on controllers for for different transmissions. I'm not sure if they make one for a 46 RH/RE. Worst case scenario you can use A500/518.

Just looked at my build sheet I have the 46rh transmission. That means I don't have any electronic system to shift that, right, and all the shifting is done by hydraulic pressure?

Why do you want to go .060 on your bore? You are correct that your 46RH doesn't have all the electronics that a 46RE has. As to being stand alone I can't comment on.
Good luck with your build which ever way you decide to go.

Shifting is done hydraulically but you still have a lockup style converter witch needs to managed. Here is a link to mod a A518 for a non computer car. The 46rh should be the same.
