Engine Start Problems
2000 Ram 1500 5.9L 2WD QC -Went out to start the truck this morning and the engine is turning over but will not stay cranked. If I give it gas it will rev up; however, when you let off it dies. I replaced the IAC, battery, plugs, and plug wires earlier this year. Fuel pump is turning on. I have noticed I seem to keep having to add coolant pretty often.
Another issue, when I start the truck, I hear what sounds like liquid flowing through a pipe near the passenger side firewall.
Does anyone know what could be the cause of these problems?
Thanks for any help!!!

you have low coolant level with air in the system, this is causing the noise near the passenger side firewall. if you dont have a leak anywhere, have the motor checked for a leaky head gasket. you can also look up under the block to where the head meets the block and see if there is any water run off from the head.
have you cleaned the throttle body? there is a small air passage way that may be clogged that can cause you problems. make sure it's clear of any gunk. it is possible your new IAC is sticky when cold too...
edit: oh yeah, welcome to DF! pic's of your truck are always welcome [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

no, you'll need to pull the TB off and spray it with carb cleaner or tb cleaner. it'll be a lot easier to clean if it's off. also get a new tb base gasket too...
do you see any oil in the water or water in the oil? you probably have a leak at the t-stat housing... that is a common one, look down the hose that goes to the intake manifold and you should see if it's been leaking. that or the bypass hose next to it is another common one.
