Most (if not all) of the ebay/china HID's are not quality stuff. Good true quality HID headlights focus the light down not at oncoming drivers like ebay crap. You may want to run a led bulb when you get a replacement housing. I am considering this also.

I ordered replacement, clear lens Reflector housings as my stock housing are faded and fogged to hell. I'm planning on doing a HID projector retrofit, but am considering a LED bulb instead

Good job on pulling those crappy *** projectors. Absolutely horrible. I bought some of those when I was still new to vehicles. Weird shoddy wiring. Look up SpecDTuning on YouTube, they're who makes those and they have a wiring video that can maybe give you some idea of what you have going on.

DO NOT GO HIDS WITHOUT PROJECTORS! Non-projector housings scatter the light and blind people and actually hinder your visibility as well. LEDs are a great option.
