Default Heat sheild around spark plugs

Anyone have any ideas for getting the heat shields out around the spark plugs. Mine are so stuck they won't budge at all even with pb and vice grips

Slide hammer.

They are just kinda/sorta pressed in. You should be able to grab them near the seam with vice grips, and then twist. They won't come out nicely, but, they will come out.

I took channel locks to the opposite the seam and twisted them.
