ac blows hot when decelerating or nose down hill
i've seen this question in a few posts through searching that are all over a year old....but never saw an answer touched.....i was wondering if there is any reason for the ac to all of the sudden blow warm air when im facing down a slope or when i have to get on the breaks.....no noises, no problems when using heat and getting hotter or anything...just with the ac....its a 2001 Ram 1500 5.9L extended cab....has ac and heater with temp control(that is either COLD ac or HOT doesnt seem to have an inbetween but never bothered me)only got 42k miles...any insight would be great
i had a prob kinda like this. but i would be driving and then it would all of a sudden start blowing hot air. it didnt depend on the slope or nothin. anyway all that was wrong was it needed to be flushed, had to replace the refrigerant fluid in it. it did it cuz the a/c was gettin froze up after it would blow so long and then it would start blowin hot.
well, ac system has been flushed, blew colder when it was blowin cold, but now it only blows heated air...not warm air, but HEATED air, and it almost feels like there is nothing connected to the temp **** on my dash....like its too easy to turn....so is that vaccuum tube stuff or is it a wire, or electronic and how would i go about connecting it back up, i have a haynes manual but it doesnt mention anything about the actual control of the ac/heater....anyone experienced this or know what to look for to trouble shoot the controls? i would just have at it but i'd like to know what im gettin into...thanks =)
i know that they are the vacume tubes and if there isnt any resistance then they might have come disconnected (which would blow my mind b/c it took me a long time toe figure it out and eventually gave up) or you have a leak somewhere..
well, turns out vacuum lines are fine and controllers are workin properly...i borrowed a friends vaccuum gauge tool thing....i noticed that if the truck is off and i turn the ac **** to cold....and then turn the truck back on, it will blow cold ac...but as soon as i go from cold ac to heat.....it wont come back off heat....its like whatever it is that reroutes the air from the cooled air and compressor to the heated air through the heater core is getting stuck...anyone know if thats possible or if something like that exists and if it does, how the hell i get at it and try to fix it?
