I just installed the following, last week. But that MSD Blaster has gotten my attention.

Davis Unified Ignition Cap and Rotor Kits
DUI-35200RD

Taylor ThunderVolt 8.2mm Spark Plug Wire Sets
TAY-84276

NGK (4291) ZFR6F-11 V-Power Spark Plug

If you don't have one already, get the service manual for your truck from here. They talk about fuel sync in the fuel and ignition section.

You have the 46RE transmission. ( assuming automatic)

With the 5.2, those numbers may simply be as good as it gets. A good tune for your engine certainly won't hurt though. (albeit, not precisely cheap.) Given all the details of your engine, Flyin' Ryan can at least get you better than what you currently have with the Death Flash..... (there is a thread about that in the DIY section here.)
Thanks for the manual!!!

Yea I'm liking the coil. If your truck is 97 or newer you need to order a adapter plug though. I ran colder plugs gapped at 45 and the truck took a liking as well. Runs real smooth

"death tune" is a new term, and I will be researching that.

Wildman, This was originally a longbed, and I shortened the frame and had the flatbed built here. I'm happy as hell with it. I also had to have a gas tank made, since the original was too long afterwards.

I will be looking at the tuner contacts you guys gave..... thanks so much!!

You don't need a dyno to tune the truck with. All you need is a wide band O2 sensor and a way to do data logging. You tell FlyingRyan all the things done to your engine and he writes you a tune based on that info. Then you drive with that tune for awhile while data logging the sensor results. You then email that to the tuner and he will write you an updated tune if needed.

If you have superchips tuning installed, you don't have death flash. It overrides it.

SCT from airram.com is your best bet for tuning (which you need), that's where you can get ahold of FlyinRyan. I would not go to hemifever, I would run superchips over hemifever.

^^Wildman has posted good info regarding getting your tuning.

Kind of surprising that's all the faster she's going, especially being you have stock tb, kegger (even modded), and 4.56 gears with those 35s. I timed my 360 at 10.7 for 0-60 with M1 manifold, superchips 91 tune, and restriction free Magnaflow and she laid 223/281 rwhp/ft.lb respectively.

I couldn't find any "flyinRyan" in the members list. I ordered tuning through hemifever a few hours ago. I hope I won't have any problems.

I also ordered a torque converter 23000-26000 stall, and a wideband o2 logger (wildman's advice).

Hemifever told me to check and see if my cam is a tooth off the chain, and the same for the distributor, so I'm having my mechanic check that tomorrow.

I can't find a 360 short block to swap where I am (honduras), so I'm trying to get what I can out of the 318. But so far I've been greatly disappointed.

This is from motor trend, so there is a documented vehicle slower than yours..lol..sorry, just had to do that, I think you have something mechanically out of adjustment, possibly cam timing, fuel sync, distributer a tooth off transmission not going into 1st gear or whatever, Im just not buying you need a custom tune, especially after seeing the minimal gains from the superchips tune..

Think you slipped a decimal point on your stall speed there.... but even so, isn't that kinda high for a truck?

oops... extra zero there.

I hope it's not too high, it was already shipped. I was doing a lot of reading, and came across 2400 as a good number to help the low end. I'm certainly no expert with them.
