Default 1997 Ram 2500 Running Lights Wont Turn On

All my lights burned out so I replaced the switch now my headlights turn on fine, but the running lights do not turn on. They do flicker on when Im pulling the switch out, and they do turn on when the truck is in reverse (manual). Any thoughts??? I have tested a different new switch and am getting the same result. PPPPLLLEASE help!!

How is the connector? Is it melted at all? You may need to replace it.

The 2500 have some of the same issues as the 3500 had due to more amps running threw the switch. This was the recall for the 3500's but i believe it should have been for the 2500's also.

My switch/plug i replaced a few months ago(this is a 2500).

What brand switch did you get? I believe they all come with the pig tail harness now a days. You should have replaced it with the switch. To get the amps down run led lights.

I replaced both sides of the switch, cant remember the brand but it did have pigtails. Latest suggestion Ive got is I might have fried a wire or crossed them somethere, so I have to start testing continuity. I still dont get why they turn on when the switch is a little ways pulled out tho.

??? Might be a ground issue? I would check and see if you are getting power from the switch to the bulbs then check the grounds.
