Default brake line between master and proportioning valve

I've been dealing with brake issues on a truck I just bought, swapped calipers over (previous owner put them on wrong side), new wheel cylinders, new master. And when I went to go bleed the brakes I found one of the lines that go from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve is leaking from the master. So I'm guessing I have to replace that line.
My question is can I just go get a short piece of line from the part store and put it in the old ones place? Just want to make sure it doesn't have to be a specific length. The bends are weird on it and I didn't know if they were there for a reason.

Yeah, just a piece of line with the correct ends on it will be fine. Length doesn't matter. (so long as it is long enough. ) Bleed all four when you are done.
