I was testing the pulse signal at the Ignition coil input.
That should be negative not .5 volts. Asd gives the coil 12v + and pcm supplies the negative to fire the coil.

Ok, so I took the truck into the shop down the road and got some leads. The computer wasn't getting the proper voltage from the coolant sensor due to another shop (I took it to this summer) rigging an aftermarket sensor into a gage and just leaving the cable unplugged. Also, that new computer the other shop sent me is completely wrong for my truck.

The truck fired right up in the nice warm shop, ran like crap. So, waiting for yet another computer.

Does anyone know a good spot to install this analog coolant sensor? Seems a bit small to fit in the ports I've tried. I did install a new OEM sensor into the original port.

Your manifold *might* have provisions for a second sensor, should be two spots, one is right next to the outlet to the heater core, the other is next to the thermostat housing, and is kinda hard to see. One or the other will be there, the second one might be drilled, and plugged, or, you might have to drill it yourself....... (and tap, of course.)

Any threaded plugs in the heads? I know GM has a couple.......

Ok, so a few things turned up being totally fudged on this truck.

The mechanics I took it to this summer removed the temp sensor to install an aftermarket, making it unable to start when the cold weather moved in because of no read at the PCM.

*The new computer is sending out improper voltages and is possibly making the dash cluster think it's in a Jeep TJ?

*It did jump time and the timing chain has been replaced, just waiting on Computer #3... or 4... I can't remember now LOL

So, it's sitting at the shop till my new PCM arrives which the Dodge dealer couldn't order but did help me find a site for a new one. Luckily, I was able to sell my Liberty to the parents (mom really wanted it) so I could afford a good down payment on a new truck.
Still hoping to get this monster running again so it can be my heavy work/play truck. Thank you for your help everyone, hopefully the nightmare will be up and running again soon!

Sweet! New dash cluster and PCM worked great... bad thing is it needs a new engine now. The dipstick was covered in metal shavings. Guess that was the knocking sound that's been getting increasingly worse.
