Default Battery tray A$$ whooping!!!!

OK, guys,
just finished a Hughes intake install. I was putting in battery to see how I did and noticed that my battery hold down anchor nut along side the fender wall is too corroded to use.
I have a new one, but can't get it in! I removed the 4 bolts and one underneath the tray, and the tray still will not budge!!!!

How to I get that tray out, or, how do I get the anchor nut clip in???

Forego the nut, get a piece of 1/4" threaded rod, bend a small right angle at the end (say, an inch long). Slip the L leg into the hole in the plastic battery holder where the nut was, cut to length, put a nut on it.
