Default Door Speakers

Hi guys,

I have a 98 Dodge Ram Sport that has a bad speaker in the front passenger door. I guess I tried to jam too load and just blew the speaker. I want to get and after market system installed, but the money isn't there for the time being to do that right now. Is there anyone here that has a set of the factory Infinity 6x9's that will work in my truck? I know there has to be someone here that has replaced their stock door speakers with after market. If you still have the factory Infinity speakers and wouldn't mind selling them to me, let me know. I'd really like to hear my music in stereo again. Thanks ya'll for any help you can give me.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. I've been searching ebay for about a month now. I might as well brake down and start getting some aftermarket gear. I'll hold out for a little longer before that happens though. I can see it now door speakers, then head unit, amps, subs, EQ, and on, and on. I did that with my last car and sunk over 5 grand into that sound system. I told my self never again till I drove a buddies truck that was all decked out too blow your eardrums out. I'll just have to make sure my wife controls me when I start buying stuff I guess.

What year truck do you got? I want to be able to plug it into my factory harness and be done with it. If you can send me a couple pictures of it so I can see the plug style that would be great.

Thanks!!

No problem, it's the Infiinty system in a 99 Ram Sport.

It'll plug in with no prolems whatsoever, even comes with the crossover already on the speaker, it couldn't be any easier.

Pics on the way.....

I got some new speakers from best buy for like 59.00 and they worked fine with the stock unit and any aftermarket.

I know that I'm gonna sound like a dumba$$, but what size speakers are in my doors? I have a 2001 dodge reg cab without the infinity system. I thought that the speakers were 6x9 in the doors and 5 1/2 behind the seats, but some people have told me that the speakers in the doors are 6" speakers...? Someone clear this up for me please. Also...How hard is it to hook up the infinity setup...I want aftermarket speakers in the doors and back but I also want the tweeters in the front door colums like it came factory. -Tyler
