if the engine isn't running right, nothing else behind it is going to work right either. It isn't necessarily a malfunction in the trans.... it's just doing what the pcm thinks it should be doing......

I’m glad I read this because my 01 2nd gen is havin the same issue. I’m definitely gone check the plugs and wires. I also have a valve cover leak my the #8 plug.

'Shuddering' in OD can be a cause of a felt issue. ATF maybe in need of a change. "Instant Dr. Tranny Shudder Fix' by Lubegard works very well to de-shudder the fluid.
