You can go a couple ways with a switch, disable TCC altogether, have it engage until you flip the switch to a different position, or, PCM controlled. Three position switch, and yet get whatever you want.

Alright fellas I went ahead and took a video of a 5-40 run. So at about 17 seconds in the truck is in 3rd gear and shortly after the rpms drop by a couple hundred then pretty quick after that they drop again by about 500 or so

What is the first 200rpm drop?

Well that's not even my issue as UnregisteredUser pointed out

The truck just goes into overdrive too quick, so I'm looking for a way to make it hold 3rd longer

200 RPM drop is TCC engage. 500 or so drop is 4th gear. (o/d)

There is a switch to disable overdrive, if you don't think you are going to be using it. (that will certainly keep the truck in 3rd.) Another member installed a relay in the circuit, so that the truck automatically defaults to O/D off....... I think there is a write-up for that in the FAQ section.

And there is a mod to keep the TCC from going into lockup, until you want it to. IIRC
