Default Removing the Rear Sway Bar Help The Bounce?

I'm playing the blues!!! I'm getting too much bounce in the rear of my ride (2002 Ram 3500 4x4 Dually). I already installed the Blistein shocks and also installed a new Moog springs up front. I am now waiting for the delivery of that Carli rear leaf springs.

I have HEARD that removing the rear sway bars will be advantageous in obtaining a smoother ride.

Can anyone attest to this???????? Any opinions out there to help a fellow Dodge man?

Thanks

Nope. Sway bar has zero affect on ride quality. It simply tries to keep the rear level in corners. The ride harshness is because it is one ton truck, with an empty bed. Only way to fix that is to throw some weight in it. Given that it's a one ton.... probably going to need a fair bit of weight.

I know my 2500 rode like a cadilac with 2500 lbs of dirt in the bed.

thanks for your reply HeyYou. For the life of me I can't understand why a truck shop would suggest this to me. I smiled when I read how your truck rides like a caddy with a load in it. I am running bliestein shocks all the way around. Now I am waiting for the delivery of some leaf springs from Carli. I am hoping this would help; as I rarely have a load in my truck. I just love driving my dually!!
