Not sure about dodge but on my Toyota and jeep (with a GM compass/mirror) it was some surface mount resistors. I will post pic's in a bit but, these resistors are little square things (maybe 1/8" by 1/8"). With some numbers on them. They get hot, cool, hot, etc then crack the solder joint and/or lift off of the circuit board. Take a magnifying glass and look at each of them. You will have to open up the unit. (I do not have one nor ever worked on one, so I cannot help you much on how to do that). When you find one that looks a little hinky, just touch with a hot soldering iron to re-seat it. Or just hit all of them.

Look at the item labeled "4R3" the left side of it. You can see how it looks hinky, that's a bad solder joint that needs to be fixed. On my Toyota, I actually removed the puny little resistor and put in some 1/4 watt ones, that take the heat better. You may want to check the inter-webs for a mod for that.
