Default Running really bad!!!!!

Hey guys I have a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 liter 4x4 and I'm having some trouble it's been running real rough just replaced spark plug distributor cap and rotor that goes underneath that cause they were corroded really bad but still runs same I have good spark from coil but still runs bad I have a trouble code 12 that says lost connection to PCM check battery and or ground connections could it be a ground wire that's making it run so bad????? Any help I would sure appreciate it guys it's my daily driver so the sooner I can find the problem the better I would sure appreciate it guys thank you God bless!

Have you checked the plenum? Code 12 is normal.

Unfortunately, most places won't read OBD1 anymore, at least not by me. Maybe a dealer, but not parts stores. It's easy enough to do on your own though without a scanner. Jump the pins and count the flashes.

Oh that's right. My bad, maybe the o2 sensor is bad?

May add the mileage and specifics of "running bad". Is it stalling-hard to keep running etc... May need to clean the throttle body. You can get codes here...

Hey guys I just cleaned up some corrosion on my battery terminals then tried it when I got inside truck I went to start it then made a pop noise lost all power now I have no lights no lights on instrument panel checked all my fuses there all good what do you think could be wrong on my wiring

Sounds like one or both if the connectors isn't tight enough, possibly time for new ones

Alright thanks man I have no power now though when you turn key on there's no lights come on and my battery new so that's good so I wonder if my PCM needs reprogrammed??

Pull both off, re seat them and make sure they are tight leave them off for maybe 30 seconds

I don't think the pcm would need reflashed tbh
