Default Longer Wheel Studs

Hello,

I just bought a new truck. 1996 1500 5.9L Little lift. This is going to be my little project truck.

The tires on it right now are 285/75/r16 (Which are bald and is hard to drive on the highway in the snow). He gave me a brand new set of LT 295/55R/20 Wheels. I have not tryed or looked yet, but he was saying that with the spacer you do not have very much thread left to put your lug nut on. So you will need longer studs.

I have been looking and looking and cant find any longer studs. Any ideas where to buy longer ones?

Most wheel spacers are offset from your stock studs. Meaning, the spacers will have their own studs. The spacers mount to your truck (with loctite) then your wheels to the spacers.

Do you already have spacers and they do not have their own studs?

I think I see what you are saying. Loctite feels a little sketchy for that application but i guess being a millwright I can see how it would work.

I have not ordered the spacers yet. I was just looking online to see what is out there as I have never used wheel spacers before.
