so since the 2500 has stiffer suspensions, im guessing 1500 is better for offroading since its less stiff?

ill probably want to run 35 in or 33 in but im more concern of the flex than anything just not sure what lift to get

2500 has tougher axles..... and you will be replacing springs with a lift kit anyway..... With 35's, I would be much happier with D60's....

Are you going to be doing mostly rock crawling?

yeah I am looking to do rock cralwing and going through trails that have pretty uneven terrain. So I need it to flex to keep the truck as even as possible instead of tipping over due to the ditch haha!

I was reading somewhere that you can get disconnect sway links? do they have that for trucks?

Urgh sorry for all of the questions. Trucks to me is a whole new ball game lol. With a jeep I can just get a teraflex long arm for 2k and bam right there I have flex on a jeep.

Just not sure what setup to run on a dodge ram to get that same articulation that wont break the bank. Unless I add a long arm kit and they sell sway bar disconnects?

What you guys recommend?

I haven't really seen any sway-bar disconnects for these trucks, but, that does NOT mean they don't exist...... A fair few folks just disconnect the sway bar altogether, and call it a day.

You could compensate some for a lack of flex with lockers front and rear.

I don't think you will ever have a full-sized truck as flexy, or, as stable while flexed.... as a Jeep though.....

Could do long-arms, and coilover shocks for some serious flex, but, not exactly a 'cheap' option.

JKS has great sway bar discos. Not sure either, if they have them for the rams.

going to revive this again - sorry guys and I really appreciate your help.

I read somewhere that 2nd gen ram 1500 give just as much flex as a 90s XJ jeep. Any information on this?

And looks like I am going to buy a 1500 90s ram. So, I should be ok with some moderate rock crawling, and uneven terrain, right?

Any recommendations on what i should do or do they flex pretty good stock? trying to spend less than 2,000 bucks to get this ram to flex decently like a jeep (if its possible) I am not doing TRUE rock crawling where theres like a 4ft - 6ft drop/climb ha ha!

Long arm suspension lift, larger tires, lower gears.

What year 90's truck? The older 90's trucks had leaf springs front and back. The 94 was the first for front coil spring and control arms.

You'll also need shocks but all of that is a really good start to a pretty flexy Ram.
