The one I got didn't have any arrows or anything. I just lined it up with the electric plug and gas line and all that.

One of the first things I got to do to my Ram was replace the fuel pump. I bought the parts store special and it happened to be an Air-tex.... Are these just not expected to last?

Not to Hi-jack or anything...

I used them in a few vehicles and not one problem with them. I have one in my truck now for over two years. If they die prematurely i'll have no problem bad mouthing them.
