Would I be able to pass California Smog with long tube headers?

What difference do they think shutting down a very small percentage of car owners that actually modify their vehicles will do?

They should focus on industrial waste or cargo ships that get gallons upon gallons to the single mile that deliver all our **** from China. Or something else that could actually make a diffference.

Basically, it is going to become illegal to modify/remove ANY emissions device from a production motor vehicle, regardless of use. That rule is going to pretty much destroy EVERY aftermarket performance company. Retailers, and manufacturers alike.

SEMA, and a host of other companies, have taken up the banner against these rules, but, they really don't have a lot of power here. The EPA can pretty much push any rules they like, and their is very little, if any... recourse for those affected. Will the rules stick? That remains to be seen...... The aftermarket companies have some deep pockets to pay for lawyers, but, the fed's pockets are bottomless...... Its gonna be interesting.

Sheesh....Like the Climate Change hoax being rammed down our throats, this isn't about "saving the planet", it's about more Government control. Where have you been the past 8 years?

Finally....Someone is paying attention! I'm shocked by all the apathy about this on all the car/truck forums. Most people I talk to don't even know.

The uninformed voters don't even know who they are...

Meh I remain skeptical about everything. From climate change to diabolical government brainwashing.

It's been the past eight that the EPA has grown a pair, you can't argue that.

They just added the verbage that is most troubling.

For most folks, it won't have any affect on them at all. For the automotive enthusiasts, it's gonna suck.

Voter apathy has been getting worse over time, for the last couple decades. What's the point of voting if your vote doesn't make any difference at all? One administration just seems to perpetuate the policies of the last one, regardless of party. The only real differences are peripheral issues. (abortion, gun control, etc.)

Biggest problem I see is, our government has sold out to the corporatacracy. They get the best government money can buy..... and our 'leaders' keep trying to tell us this is 'good for america'. Bull Feces. It's good for the POLITICIANS, and the very rich, to hell with the rest of us. And that is precisely where we are headed.

But, we are getting WAY off topic here.

I'm open to anything. Stuff like this keeps going through as law than yeah, I believe this is more about control than "going green."

Either way this particular thing is stupid and I've already been trying to help raise awareness of it among my wrench turning friends.
