Default Epa regulations - please read

The EPA is coming after guys whom like to tinker on their vehicles. And the EPA has the power to do so...They have killed coal mining, wood stoves, we're next.

Don't blow this off, read it, share it and vote AGAINST anyone who supports the EPA. Nothing will be grandfathered in, if you have a cummins swap..You'll have to park it forever. IT WILL BE LIKE CALIFORNIA ON STEROIDS IN ALL 50 STATES.

Wow, this is horrible. I am curious, though, as to how it will work when you need to replace a part, for example your catalytic converter gets clogged and you need a new one. Would it be where you have to go to a certified mechanic to get the repairs done or would it be another money-grab like CARB certification? Either way, both seem like they would be outrageously more expensive just because of the certification process.

Not to be a dick about it, but CARB isn't a money grab. I grew up about four blocks from Knott's Berry Farm and by the early 1970's it was at least as common as not for the smog to reduce visibility to a half mile or less. As an adult, working as a field engineer who visited various oil refineries from Long Beach to Martinez at least twice a month, I know how fast and loose those idiots would play if they could get away with it. They literally do not care at all about the people who live downwind of their crap, work on their properties, or are harmed by their products. If they can profit by killing you, you're going to die. Period.

Personally, being a dick about it now, rather than just sitting around bitching and crying about the expense of living there I threw all of my stuff into a truck and drove it all to a better place. Now all of those folks whose tap water originates in the Colorado River drink the water that flushed my turds away and I laugh every time I think about it.

Everything I have is smog compliable.

However, think about this: How many companies would be put out of business and their employees left jobless? It would seriously harm a massive industry.

Quite a few, more than we can afford. That's why the people are beating back the establishment now -- and will prevail, too, but that's another story.

If the EPA takes a fly at this, they're going to get massive push-back. Among other things, retroactive prohibition is unconstitutional so there will be a huge and very likely successful challenge on that front.

Lets hope so. I think the EPA has outgrown is purpose, if it can wipe out an entire industry, with the stroke of a pen.

If there's anything people get defensive about, it's them and their cars. I mean, it's literally ingrained in the American bloodline.
