Looking for input on a 2002 Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel
So I currently run around in a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. Love it! But as my daughter progresses in her horse hobby, I find myself needing a bigger truck. While I would love a 3rd gen 5.9 Cummins, I cant afford that. My Aunt has a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 w/ the Cummins HO, 6 speed, extended cab and 8' bed; that shes willing to sell me for $10k. It has around 160k miles on it.
Its in ok condition. Needs AC worked on and a windshield.
Does anyone have any thing positive or negative that they could share with me about making the switch?

Actually, I think that would be an awesome tow vehicle. With the 24 valve diesel, there are LOTS of relatively easy options for increasing performance, and it will happily tow anything you care to put behind it. And it probably won't notice that its there.....
As for the price..... Don't know. A lot depends on how available they are around you.

Price sounds reasonable, if its in fine shape - has low miles for that config.
Most people want a 12v over a 24v, simpler electronics - and supposedly get better fuel mileage. I'd head over to a diesel specific forum and get more details.
