Default Front Shock A-Post

Hey Guys,

I bought new shocks for the old girl, and I wanted to inquire about the best method to remove the front shocks. The 3 nuts / bolts for the a-post are rusted out so bad, that there is not really any teeth or a nut anymore. I was thinking of just grinding off the nut and then drilling a hole down through and adding a new bolt and nut.

Is this a good idea? Or do they sell something to replace the 3 bolts for that.

Thanks guys

They are just nuts and bolts, nothing special about them. Of course, the dealership will want an arm and a leg for each one.... Just go the the hardware store and pick up some grade 5 nuts/bolts the appropriate size.

http://www.rockauto.com/info/11/AMG_..._TOP__ra_p.jpg that is what you need dont listen to that up^^^there its wrong.as you can see the bolts are attached to a ring that is flat and allows the spring to ride flat in its bucket.
