Swapping warn 360 magnum for 318 w/ low miles
Okay cool. Will I need to put the flex plate off the 5.9 to the 5.2? And by dropping the engine in and wiring you mean just use the wiring that's already in the truck for the 5.9? Or 5.2 wiring?
Will the flex plate bolt up to the transmission, the trans is a 46re out of a ram with a 5.9, and what do you mean by correct sensors exactly? Lol sorry for so many questions this is the biggest swap I've done before and still have a lot to learn.
The engine will bolt to the trans, but, I would check the flexplate on the torque converter before dropping the motor in. It *might* be different, but, I don't think so.
The 98 sensors will be the 'correct' sensors. They are all pretty much the same between the v-8's anyway.

Ok so the guy who had the engine sold it already, so I just plan on rebuilding the 5.9 since I already removed it from the truck. I looked at summit racing and they have engine rebuild kits, but they have them for many years except 98-01, are all the 5.9 magnums the same from 94-01?

Also, would I need to have the block honed out? Or have it bored? It's got 212xxx on the clock, burns some oil. But runs good for having that many miles on it. Motors out sitting on a big tire, I can tear down the block within half hour. Just don't know exactly what I should do with it.
More than likely one or the other will be required. The hot ticket is to let the machine shop decide, unless you want it overbored for some other reason.
