Default Auto Tranny Shift Kit

For all of you that have been contemplating putting in a shift kit , I just put in a Transgo kit with an APS TV assembly, No Buzz valve and Aluminum Accumulator with Blocker Rod from APS transmissions in my truck. Much better, firmer shifts and after checking 2 tanks consistantly gained just under 1/2 mpg around town. Took about 4.5 hours to install.

The Transgo kit was $94,the other items + pan gasket, filter and trans-lube was $179 + $15 to ship it. I stayed with the original pan as I have a stand alone tranny cooler and pillar temp guage, the hottest it's ever got is 170 degrees while wheeling.I had installed a drain plug about a year ago when I did a filter change. The whole thing from APS was a kit, they have 4 stages and I went with stage 3. Quite happy with the results.
