Default 93 vs 99 5.9 magnum

just wonderin if someone could tell me if a 99 5.9 magnum out of a durango would work in my 93 pickup with the 5.9 magnum?

Others, smarter than myself, will chime in but...

I think the 93 is obd1 vs the 99 being obd2. I know you will need the PCM from the 99 and most of the electronics and sensors.

that makes sense. i wonder if i could just swap intake manifolds and use the older one on newer engine. just curious cause my heads are cracked and have water in oil now

Head might be cheaper if the rest is good. Odessa Clearwater cylinder heads on ebay.

Otherwise, yes you can swap them, but you'll need your manifolds and sensors. All else should be plug and play.

ok thanks for the info. i found the 99 engine pretty cheap in my area so it would be cheaper for me to get whole engine

Sounds like the ticket. Swap what you need, although most will tell you to oh with aftermarket heads. Depends upon how much $ you have.
