Default NV4500 swap...?

Truck: 1998 Ram 1500 with a 5.2 and 46re

Okay so I read a few threads about this and I've become increasingly interested in doing this to my truck.

There's just a couple of things that I'm not really finding the answers to

1. Will I be able to bolt my np231hd to the NV4500?

I've searched around and am finding conflicting information.

2. How do the transmission cooler lines that are in place on my auto come into play with the NV4500?

Are there provisions for them?

Thanks for any wisdom and help here

NV4500 will most likely bolt up. If you get a 2001+ V8 gas NV4500 it will be 29 spline output which would not bolt up to the 23 spline t case.

So you just need a Gas V8 nv4500 that's 23 spline.

No cooler lines needed for a manual. They can be removed completely.

As I understand it, 23 spline output is on 92½-00, and 29 spline is on 01-05.

And the trans cooler lines serve no purpose at all with a manual trans. They simply aren't used, and you can remove them from the truck.
