When your headlights flicker, is it lows, highs or either?

When they are flickering-

1) take a jumper from terminal 6 on the DRL module (or batt plus) and jump to term 1 (for highs) and term 10 (for lows). Does the flickering stop?

2) take a jumper from headlight switch red/lg (or batt plus) to lg. Does the flickering stop?

3) take a jumper from the stalk switch lg (or batt plus) to purp/wt (for lows), orange (for highs). Does the flickering stop?

When they flicker, it's for 5 seconds or so that they go completely dark (except the DRL's stay on). And it can happen whether I'm on high beam or low beam.

For the other questions, it'll take some time until I can answer them.

Thanks for helping me out

Sorry, I guess I need some more clarification. I should have asked this earlier...

Do your DRL's flicker but not go out? Or do they stay a constant brightness?

The lights only flicker when you have the headlights switched on at the headlight switch? Then, its either highs or lows that flicker?

When the headlights go dark, so do the dash and taillights?

The DRL's stay on at their normal intensity (I think).

The dash lights stay on for sure, the tail lights I'm not sure. I'll have to look into that more next week.

And yes, when I'm driving along with the high beams on, they will go completely dark (except for DRL's), and I can flick the stalk to low beams and still nothing changes for a few seconds. Then, all of a sudden the lights will come back on. Even if I leave the stalk in the high beam position, the lights will come back on after a few seconds. Flicking the stalk doesn't help them come back sooner.

I'll try and get better answers next week.

DRL's are at their normal intensity. And in my driveway just now, with high beams on, they would turn off and only the DRL's would be on, every 3-5 seconds probably they were alternating between high beam and DRL's. When I rocked the stalk to low beams, the low beams stayed on normally for 3 or 4 minutes, and that's all I had time for. But previously, they have flickered too like the high beams, but they need more time to do so.
The tail lights stayed on as normal during my high beam test today.

In order that I would replace-

1) Headlight switch
2) stalk switch
3) DRL module.

It really sounds to me like it's your headlight switch, that's where I would start. And, I really don't think it's the DRL module.

Yes, replacing the switch is a given. But I was also hoping to put in the LMC Relay/Harness kit because it's so simple with its "plug and play". But the DRL's create issues. I'd also be happy to eliminate the DRL's and just have low beams come on with the ignition. Guess I'll just buy a cheap Chinese switch from Amazon and hope it lasts more than a couple months.
