Default trans rebuild... now problems....

Rebuilt my 46RE do to the TC and oil pump shelling out.... Tore down the trans and replaced all steels and frictions. Replaced TC and oil pump. Cleaned valve body and replaced governer pressure sensor and solenoid and TC lock up electronics. Truck drives fine in all gears but..... The TC isnt locking up and the cooler isnt flowing any oil.... WTF !!! i think it might have been something i did while assembling the VB after i cleaned it.... Anyone have this happen before ???

Found and fixed the problem... The lube valve in the valve body was stuck, i swapped the top section of the valve body out with a spare i had and problem fixed. These 46RE trans arent too bad to rebuild, just pay attention to how free the spools move in the VB. I was lucky i had a spare trans in the garage for hard parts.

The lube valve is next to the line pressure valve and the lube valve moves over to allow lock up and cooler flow.

Haven't seen him for a while. Life has been interesting for him, and I think he has moved on to other interests. He sold his truck a while back.
