Default Looking to put a 5.2 in my 02 ram

I'm looking to put a 5.2 in my 02 Dodge Ram that has a blown 4.7 motor. Will the 5.2 bolt up to the 45rfe transmission. If not what will I need to make the 5.2 fit to the 45rfr? The truck is a 4x4.

No it won't. So far as I know, no one makes an adapter either. Now, the 5.7 hemi may bolt up to it.......

From the looks of it on Wiki, I know I know, the 45 *may* not bolt up to the Hemi as it wasn't used with it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysl...RFE_and_545RFE

In any event I think the easiest course of action will be to have the 4.7L rebuilt. What blew?

Damn.

Do you have the 5.2L already? Have you searched for a good/used 4.7L?

I've looked for a 4.7 but can't find anything under 1500 that's why I was looking at the 5.2 because I've found one with 145,000 for only 400

Dropping another 4.7 in there is going to be easiest...... Changing to a 5.2 is going to require a trans, and a boat load of electrical work as well, and then.... you get to deal with trying to make the gauges work.....
