Default Diference between np231D auto vs manual

Hello, I have a 2001 5 speed ram with a nv3500 5speed tranny and np231d transfer case, my transfer case went out, I have A deal on a tcase out of a 2000 ram with an automatic. Both tcases are marked 231d, the question is will the tcase off the automatic work with my manual? I'm concerned with the spline counts, length, and bolt pattern to trans. Any knowledge about this would be greatly appreciated!

Everything is the same, except, the depth of the input on the t-case. I *think* it will bolt right up, but, you may have to swap some parts...... Since yours is blown, drop it out, take some measurements. Go look at the other case, and compare. See what ya think.

Welcome to DF!
