It shows 39 pounds of fuel pressure at the rail with the engine idling. Trying to increase the engine speed shows the same pressure, no increase of pressure with increase of RPM's.

That's the way it's supposed to work, so, fuel pressure, apparently, isn't your problem.

Tonight, I spent the better part of an hour trying to locate a cheap code scanner that will work with a 1995 model Ram 1500, no luck. I also spent an hour trying to locate where you would plug the scanner into on the pickup. It is not under the dash on the inside or anywhere on the outside fire wall that I could find. There is one electrical plug on the outside of the fire wall on the passengers side that might be it but it looks to be a common electrical connection of some type (data link connection) is what one diagram called it. Any suggestions on locating a code scanner for it.

Most of the 'cheaper' scanners are OBDII only. Might have to look on EBay for something like a Snap-On MT2500. It will do OBDI, and OBDII.....

Chrysler didn't put all the OBDI com ports under the dash..... Some had oddly shaped connectors under the hood you had to plug into...... Service manual should tell you where it is.

You don't need a scanner to retrieve codes on a 95.

If you want to look at live data you will need a scanner. If you have cell phone you can get bluetooth scanner that will show data on you phone. You are OBD1 so not sure what's out there for that.

Default Thanks for you help

Thank You for the information. I tried this method and it's going to take a while to figure it all out. Maybe it is just me but counting the flashes is harder than what I first thought it would be. I get lost in the flashes, maybe it just has to many wrong codes. I will spend this week-end trying to figure it all out.

Yeah you may have to do a few times to get all of them. You will get "55" showing the end of any codes. Just count the fast flashes and write them on a piece of paper without taking you eyes off the light. That's how i do it.
