Default 1998 Dodge Ram 2500 Catalytic Converter Removal

I'm currently trying to remove my cat converter from my '98 Ram 2500, but noticed that there is 2 pipes leading into it, while one leads out. How can I lead the pipes to make everything flush. Also, how do I go about my 02 sensors? Thank you for any help.

I'm assuming you are replacing it? Remove the bolts on the exhaust manifold. This may be tricky because mine where so rusted no socket would grab it. I had to cut the bolt with a die grinder to get them off. Make a cut on the pipe where it connects to the exhaust pipe and you can take the whole thing off. Get new NTK 02's

I actually don't have the money for a new cat converter at the moment. I was planning on cutting the single pipe leading out behind the unit, breaking the honeycomb, letting it blow out, and reclamp the pipe together.

That works too..... IF you don't have emissions testing/inspections where you are.

Do you or a friend have access to a welder?

Exactly what I did on my 98 Ram 2500, no emissions where I live, for now.
