Ok, so started having shifting problems. Changed out the solenoid and what not, still same problem. Took to AAMCO and the replaced the same parts plus the wiring harness on the tranny and still no good. They say I need a new ECM, so that is where I am going. They want $1600 to do it so I am picking car up tomorrow. So now I need to order a new control module, where is the best or most reliable to order? I see it is kind of iffy with some of the places...

Hoping the module will solve the IAC and shifting problems...

Have a chat with your local parts store. They should be able to hook you up for a hell of a lot less than 1600 bucks......

That's insane. It takes them about 10 minutes to flash your PCM, what exactly do they think they are charging you for?

Check around the independent shops as well, someone else has got to be able to do that.

Ya, that's way more than I have seen people say on here. I am picking truck up today. I want to ask them what they are charging $1600 for, that seems like about $1000 labor. I never changed a ECM but it looks simple. They also said I had a intake manifold leak and wanted $900 for that, and I know that is only a couple hour job...

did you use genuine MOPAR or after market IAC?? if you bought aftermarket you may be chasing your tail like I did last fall..

replaced the IAC with a new aftermarket from advance auto and my truck about 2 weeks later exhibited the same issues described in the first post of this thread.. after chasing things around I got back to the " NEW " IAC and followed the advice here to only use genuine MOPAR... bought one off of ebay for $64 shipped and all of my problems went away...
