Default Distributor

So here is the question. I'm building a 408 to put back in my truck. I'll talk about that later. But I'm curious. No one makes a distributor for a magnum v8 anymore. Or at least I can't find one. So what are my options? I found a couple off brand refurbished. Would it be possible or worth my time to go with a coil pack ignition

What do you plan to run the engine with? Gonna go carb? Stick with the MPFI?

There really isn't much to go wrong with the magnum distributor. Might be able to rebuild it...... I think all it is is a couple bushings, and maybe an o-ring....... and the cam sensor, of course.

You would have to spend a fair bit o' cash to go with coil packs..... I don't think anyone makes a direct conversion, so, you would have to piece it together, and make it work....... Not a simple exercise.... at least, not without spending some serious coin.

I didn't have the distributor with the block so either I got to go junking or get a refurbished

Was there any design changes to the distributor throughout the life of the Magnum?
Will any Magnum (V8) distributor fit (94-03)?

I think the only changes were possibly to the sensor in there. So far as I know, everything else is exactly the same.
