Temp sensor may be bad see if it's shorted. I'm thinking negative temperature coefficient sensor, temp up, resistance down.

Touch the wire on the sensor to ground. Bet it goes to 240.

I installed a new sensor because I broke the old one taking it out of the old keg. I suppose it's possible I got a bad one from the parts store.

I was on the fourth new sensor before I got one that read within about 15 degrees of the actual temp. 195* still shows around 210* on the gauge. IR gun and something to see what the brain sees will help a lot.

Go get a mopar sensor from the dealer. In my experience they seem to be the only accurate ones.
