Question 2001 Ram 2500 quad cab - replacing the bed

Hi, I have a 2500 quad cab with the 8 foot bed. The bed itself is kinda beat up from ladder racks that used to be on there and tools off and on. At a pick and pull salvage yard, I happened to get lucky and find a 1999 1500 Ram with the exact 8 foot bed in almost perfect shape (the 1500 cab was smashed in). I've got a couple of questions:

1. How difficult is it to unbolt the beds from the pickups? I've "heard" that it's only 4 bolts...not counting the gas filler neck. Is it relatively quick?

2. The 1999 1500's driver side door label shows the paint (PNT) as being "PGF". My 2500's driver side door label shows the paint (PNT) being "PG8". They're both painted in the Dodge Hulk green color. Do you think this bed paint scheme is pretty darn close to even being noticeable?

Thanks.

It's either six, or eight bolts, the filler neck, and don't forget the rear light harness.

As for the paint, no idea.

As for the paint, the "PGF" is the emerald green pearl color and the "PG8" is the hunter green. Basically, the "PGF" is a bit more blue than the "PG8" and you will probably be able to tell with them right next to each other.

Thanks for the info...good to know. I found the front 2 bolts this evening in my Ram's bed. As for the colors...well the price is great so I've have to go with "close enough for government work" for the green colors!
