Default Exhaust

Hey guys. I've got my 2001 dodge ram 1500. I'm building a motor for it. Got the motor bored, got the rotating assembly put in. Got two new indy heads with 2.055 exhaust valves, got a set of crane 1.7 rockers. Spent the money went with a hughes intake, fastman 53mm throttle body, and some pacesetter long tube headers along with a bunch of other goodies. Question is what do I do with the exhaust. I have the two sensors one precat and one post cat. The headers are 3 inch long tube headers. Now this is where I'm pulling my hair out. DO I want to use the pace setter pipe and combine both headers into one 3 inch pipe then go with a 3 inch catalytic converter with dual 2 1/2 coming off that. or do I want to run true dual 3 inch exhaust and hang the o2 sensors in just one pipe. I don't have emissions do I leave the cat off. I know this has been discussed numerous times with numerous debates but having a wide open stroker changes the discussion a little.

I would do the single 3 then split into 2.5s. True dual 3" will net you a very large loss of low-mid tq. Single 2.5" or 3" flows more than enough for what you're doing.

Cat is up to you. If you decide to skip it, just do the non-fouler trick on the rear O2 sensor. (I think there is a DIY about that in the FAQ section.)
