The part number that I chose was the 23151, just because it had the highest Amazon reviews of the ones I saw. I'm not sure, but I believe that one of the parts I saw was the same with just a shorter electrical connection.

Alright, I just got the sensor today, installed it, and filled the truck up. I guess it is just a matter of running through this tank before I know if it worked. I'd assume that this first tank may be a bit lower while the ECU relearns with the new sensor, so this first tank may be lower. I'll be sure to report back with the results.

Theoretically, if a person was really lazy and hated resetting all of their radio presets, could you just disconnect the PCM connectors to reset it, instead of disconnecting the battery? It would still be grounded via the mounting bolts (I presume).

Reconrey,

How did this new sensor work out for you?

Oh, sorry for not replying, I forgot.

Well, mileage seems like it may be a mile/gallon better or so, but I feel that it is definitely within the margin of error. I did not record any actual numbers, but the truck seems to be getting around 220 miles/tank.

Also, I really have not noticed any difference in the performance of the truck, which I assumed that I would if the air fuel ratio was screwy.

Any other suggestions?

You should still be able to do better than that, that isn't much over 10 MPG, I do better than that on my truck.... (3/4 ton 4x4 with 5.9 gas.....)

How many miles on the truck? Fixed the plenum? Timing chain and gears? Last time it had a tune-up? What plugs you usin'?

Truck is just below 200k miles, I just recently fixed the plenum and I did a double roller timing chain/gears at the same time. I'm not positive on what exact plugs I am using, but at about 180k I replaced them, the wires, and the cap/rotor, and I believe that I used Bosch wires/plugs. I replaced them before I did the plenum (about 15k miles before) but I did not really notice any build-up on them.

I assume you reset the PCM when you did the plenum? (I don't think you get a choice.....)

How old are the O2 sensors? What brand?

Yea, PCM has been reset after plenum, and it was reset again when I replaced the front O2 sensor. I went with an NTK OE sensor in the front, as recommended, and I never replaced the downstream sensor. The previous owner may have replaced the downstream sensor, but it should not make a difference, correct?

Jury is still out on that one... I haven't been able to discover if it is just a monitor, or if it actually does something....... Guess I need to do a bit more readin'.

What kind of area do you live in? Lots of hills? Do you have a heavy foot? Haul a bunch of stuff around all the time?

What gears, and what size tires?
