Yep.
When I was assembling the heads for my 5.9, I couldn't believe some of the claims they made. But the ownership is in the sweet spot of the trucks being relatively low value and the owners being relatively young. It's pretty easy to talk a kid out of 1500 bucks with a bunch of snake oil claims.


Anyway...
It's not unfortunate that you figured out the problem. It's fortunate. Just put a cat on and get on with your life. Super easy.
