Cool 2001 Ram 2500 quad cab - rear sway bark link driver side difficult

Hi, got a 2001 Ram 2500 4x4. I'm currently replacing both sway bar links (both sides). The rear passenger side sway bar link came off with no issues. The driver's side sway bar link may be problematic. Where it bolts up to the frame, there doesn't seem to be enough room between the gas tank and where the bolt slide out of the top of the link.

Advice?

Well, you can tell what order it was assembled in, now can't you?

I would hate to think you have to drop the tank to change that....... That's just idiotic. Of course, that doesn't mean dodge wouldn't do it.....

Might try pulling the nut, and see if you can finagle the bolt out of there... If you can, reinstall it from the other side.

Or, cut the bolt, and simply replace it? (might be easiest.)

Could you have just removed the bracket from the frame, or is that harder to get to?
