C203-Left Cowl -Figures 23,25

Under the dash, left of steering column, there is a large white 74 pin connector bolted to the firewall. C203 appears to be attached to the bottom of it.

S310-At Left Body Ground-Not Shown

The manual chart doesn't show this location. The splice is electrically located between C203 and the lamps.
If you have power at the connector, and none at the lamp sockets, gonna have to follow wires to find the splice.

You're welcome. Gonna have to put that manual on something with a bigger screen!

So Friar Tuck in digging under the dash I found he connector you are talking about, found c203 in the manual but they dont seem to match shape or wire colors. I am unsure of the number 5 slot. Manual says pink. There is a pink wire in the connector. I am not confident in this to cut this wire! Lol

Hmm just had a thought, the diagram shows the center dome light connecting to the map light wire ( circuit M1) which IS getting power so that means the M1 pink wire in connector 203 is live. The break must therefore be after the splice or under the headliner for the dome light. As to the power mirrors and cargo light....dunno.

Don't cut wires. The circuit number is the same, but different wires. There is no connection between the Map Lights and Connector 203.

According to my diagrams, the Map and Visor/Vanity lamps are on CONNECTOR 3-PIN 6 of the JUNCTION BLOCK.

The Underhood Lamp is on CONNECTOR 2-PIN 3.

All the rest are on CONNECTOR 7-PIN 9: Ones marked with * receive power thru C203, which is connected to pin 16 of JOINT CONNECTOR 5, WHICH IS ATTACHED TO THE DASH FRAMEWORK ABOVE THE STEERING COLUMN.

Be careful, the solid pink wire on pin 5 of C203 is our circuit. There is a pink with dark blue stripe wire at pin 13, not our wire.

It would seem that is the problem except my seatbelt control module appears to be working therefore there is power in that circuit.

Talking

Time to roll up your sleeves and get under the dash!

The seatbelt control module also gets power from the ignition switch in run/acc.

That is called "Leading you down the garden pathway". That's why we have to have wiring diagrams. Things in electronics are not always what they seem to be.
