Default Squeaky brakes...

Does anyone here seem to have an issue with their drum brakes because they don't stop screeching? I've replaced the shoes and drums and all the hardware, made sure they were adjusted properly. Think maybe cheap shoes? I did get them aftermarket because OE from dodge was over $200! Ridiculous. Whenever I take the drum off and clean the brake dust out, BAM! No screeching at all for about a week and a half. But I'm getting tired of cleaning out the drum to take away the screeching. Also have 35s so it takes a bit more to stop the truck. But others I've seemed to ask about the say their brakes don't squeak. Just wondering if anyone has encountered the same thing.

I'm installing new ones tomorrow. I'll see how it goes. It'll take a couple weeks to know if that was the problem or not.

when you clean the drums are you using emery cloth or light sandpaper to take the varnish off the surface? using brake lube at your contact points too?

Yeah I Lube up all contact points. And when I clean out the drum after a couple weeks driving all I do is just take it off and spray brake clean everywhere because there is so much brake dust already. I don't ever try to take sandpaper to the surface though. That usually will take away the squeaking for a couple weeks. Then it comes back and it sounds horrible. So when I get fed up with it I take the drum back off and do it all over again.
