high idle when in park
Pcv has been replaced x2 first one was bad 2nd one good. Also replaced cam angle sensor, distributer cap, rotor, all spark plugs and wires. I also replaced the vac harness that goes down the back of the engine on the trans and the 4x4 lines on front axel, and vac line to cruise control and to brake booster. I 100% understand this seems like a vac leak and I have replaced almost all the lines that were leaking and when I smoke test it last week I get no smoke anywhere. I like the purge valve suggestion because that raises idol by more fuel from my reading and that would explain why I can’t find a vaccume leak. But I will smoke test again today just to double check!
Yep. So, definitely NOT the plenum then.
Not being able to do a full scan is might suspicious..... Is the scanner just too new, and doesn't support older protocols? Or is there an actual problem on the com bus? If all your dash gauges are working properly, that would imply the com bus is doing it's job..... Maybe try a different scanner??

All dash lights work and I have no check engine light or codes stored I pop a gen light every summer when it gets over 90degreese and I have high Idol those are my 2 probs that I can’t get to go away lol(it’s been 2-3 years). I will replace the purge valve tomorrow and if that does not fix it I will take it to somewhere that can scan it properly. I can turn a wrench well but when it comes to scanning I’m a noob I watched them do it at work and they deff got reeding from the truck but they would try to look at specific things and and they got no reading or said their scanner must be having trouble (they did try 2 scanners). I am running an autozone reman computer maybe it’s a bad ecm.
Don't just throw parts at it. You can simply disconnect the purge valve, and block off its feed to the intake to test whether it is the problem or not. (even so, if it isn't working properly, the PCM *should* whine about that.....)
Of course, the PCM should whine about not reaching target idle as well, and it isn't......
Don'tcha just love electronics?

lol thank you for the advice I will cap it @ the TB and see if idol changes before buying a new one lol. I have my mopar performance ecm somewhere might swap that in and see if idol changes if it’s not the purge valve lol.
