Default Trouble starting

I have 2000 1500 with the 5.2 in it. I just replaced the fuel pump because it went out but now it has trouble starting. It acts like it's not getting fuel the first time I try for about 3 or 4 seconds. I'll stop and try again and on about second 3 or 4 it'll turn over and then run perfectly fine. It does jump sometimes due to what I assume is the same issue. What could cause this? Thank you

That's good, but all codes don't turn the Check Engine Light on. Need to get it scanned. Auto parts stores will do it free. Need to check fuel pressure. It should build up enough pressure to start almost instantly when you turn the key on. Since it takes so long (several seconds is a long time) to start, there may be low fuel pressure.
